Rita joined Dunphy Best Blocksom LLP, as an associate in 2003.

Rita practices in the areas of family law, mediation and employment and pensions & benefits law.

Rita focuses on all matters involving pensions and benefits, having gained invaluable experience practicing pensions and benefits law with the world’s largest human resource, pensions and benefits consulting firm.

Rita received her mediation training through the Legal Education Society of Alberta in 1996.

Rita received her law degree from McGill University in 1989 and her BA (With Distinction) from Concordia University in 1985 when she was also awarded the W.R. Fraser Medal in Philosophy.

She is a Member of the Law Societies of Alberta and Manitoba, the Canadian Bar Association, the Canadian Corporate Counsel Association and the Canadian Pension and Benefits Institute.

Rita speaks at educational seminars for pension plan administrators, trustees, actuaries and lawyers on legal topics related to pensions and benefits.
