Aaron D. Martens 403.750.1127 martens@dbblaw.com Aaron Martens is a family law practitioner, mediator and Registered Collaborative Family Lawyer with Dunphy Best Blocksom LLP. Aaron joined the firm in 1998 and became a Partner in 2004 practicing exclusively in the family law area. Mr. Martens' experience in family law matters includes being counsel on a wide variety of family and special applications and representing clients in trials at Provincial Court and the Court of Queen's Bench. Aaron received his law degree from the University of Alberta in 1994 and graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Calgary in 1990. Aaron is on the Executive of the Canadian Bar Association's Family Law Subsection since 2003 and is currently the Vice-Chair for Southern Alberta. As a lecturer and instructor, Aaron has been a guest lecturer at the U of C Law School and has lectured on Family Law Issues at Calgary high schools, delivered and published papers on Family Law issues for the Legal Education Society of Alberta for the past 8 years and the Entrepreneurial Chartered Accountants Association. He has also taught the Bar Admission Course for the Legal Education Society of Alberta. He also volunteered as caseworker and day leader for the Student Legal Services program in the Faculty of Law at the University of Alberta. |
