David Younggren specializes in civil litigation. David joined us in 1988 after articling to Chief Justice Laycraft at the Alberta Court of Appeal. He became a partner in 1993 and has an established civil litigation practice including corporate contractual litigation, shareholder disputes, wrongful dismissal, real estate litigation, builders' liens and collection matters. David has appeared in all levels of Court including a successful appearance on a criminal appeal (R. v. Egger) in the Supreme Court of Canada and appearances as Ad Hoc Discipline Counsel for the Law Society of Alberta.
David has just completed 5 1/2 years as a member of the Calgary Police Commission and is the immediate past Chair of the Alberta Association of Police Governance. He is also a Past Chair of the Legal Aid Society of Alberta, a Past Director of the Elizabeth Fry Society of Calgary and has been an active member, speaker and organizer for the Canadian Bar Association.
