Rhoda received her law degree from the University of Calgary in 1992 and a BA from the University of Calgary in 1988.

She is a member of the Law Society of Alberta, the Canadian Bar Association, the Alberta Family Mediation Society and the Association of Collaborative Family Lawyers. Rhoda is a past co-chair of the Calgary Association of Collaborative Family Lawyers and continues as an active member. Rhoda is also a sessional instructor at the University of Calgary. She is also past chair of the Public Legal Education & Professional Development Committee of the Canadian Bar Association and continues to be a member of the Committee. She also sits on the Alberta Education Provincial Exam Review Committee for English and Social Science.
